Manitoba is the fifth most populous province in the country and its provincial capital is Winnipeg which was founded in 1760. The province is bordered by the provinces of Ontario to the east and Saskatchewan to the west, the territories of Nunavut to the north, and Northwest Territories to the northwest, and Alberta to the south. One-third of Manitoba’s population lives in the Winnipeg and its surrounding area. Skilled Workers in Manitoba

The Skilled Workers Stream is focused on the requirements of Manitoba companies and is regionally oriented. its identify globally skilled and experienced professionals with the skills required in the local labour market and get recommended for Canadian permanent residence visas to settle and work in Manitoba. It is divided into 2 sub-categories:

  1. Individuals who have obtained an offer of work in Manitoba from their potential employers can apply for permanent residency through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program’s Career Employment Pathway. This stream is similar to the Overseas Skilled Worker Stream, however it is shorter and quicker.
  2. Candidates who have a Master’s degree or higher and at least two years of skilled work experience in their field, or a post-graduate diploma/certificate from a recognised educational institution and at least three years of work experience in their occupation, can apply for a work permit through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program’s Education-Based Streams. Candidates must also have appropriate qualifications, be under 45 years old at the time of application, and have completed any schooling in Canada to receive up to 10 additional points.

International Education Stream

Manitoba has officially established the International Education Stream (IES) for graduates of Manitoba institutions and colleges who satisfy certain criteria. This stream’s three paths are as follows:

  1. Career Employment Pathway – International students studying in Manitoba can apply for the Career Employment Pathway. Candidates must have completed a post-secondary diploma or degree programme and be registered with Manitoba’s Job Matching Service (JMS). The duration of the work permit provided to these individuals following nomination is determined by their subject of study.
  2. Graduate Internship Pathway – International students studying in Manitoba can apply for the Graduate Internship Pathway. Candidates must have finished a diploma or degree programme at a post-secondary university, be registered with the JMS, and have an internship that corresponds with their studies. The duration of the work permit provided to these individuals following nomination is determined by their subject of study.
  3. Student Entrepreneur Pilot Program – This pathway is available to overseas students studying in Manitoba. Candidates must be registered with the JMS and have finished a diploma or degree programme at a post-secondary school. The duration of the work permit provided to these individuals following nomination is determined by their subject of study.

Skilled Worker Overseas

Candidates who have received a work offer in Manitoba from a company are able to apply for permanent residence. As part of the application process, candidates will be subjected to security and criminal background investigations in Canada. Within six months, immigration officials will assess their petitions and issue either a provincial nomination certificate or a refusal letter.

It is divided into 2 sub-categories:

  1. Skilled Worker Overseas – Express Entry Sub-Stream – For skilled workers who will be working in Manitoba, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program offers an Express Entry sub-stream. Candidates must have worked as a professional in an occupation classified in the National Occupational Classification for at least one year (NOC). If they can show that they have Canadian post-secondary education and/or related job experience, or that they are proficient in both English and French, they may be entitled for up to 500 extra points.
  2. Human Capital Pathway – Manitoba’s Human Capital Pathway allows qualified people in particular occupations for permanent residency. Workers must be nominated by their employer before applying; however, even if their employer’s nomination is declined, employees can still apply. Express Entry is a sub-stream of the Human Capital Pathway.

Business Investor Stream (formerly MPNP-B)

Farm Investor Pathway – The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program offers a pathway to permanent residence through the Business Investor Stream’s Farm Investor Pathway. There are two main options for farm investors interested in immigrating to Manitoba: the Express Entry Direct Entry Stream and the Farm Investment Overseas Stream.

There are two main options for business investors interested in immigrating to Manitoba: the Express Entry Direct Entry Stream and the Business Investment Overseas Stream.

Business Investor Stream (formerly MPNP-B)

Candidates having a set of authentic and valid documents are eligible under this program. While the processing time can be indefinite in the Entrepreneur Stream, the Farm Investment Stream generally has processing time of 12 to 15 months, depending on type of visa application.
